Eight Pelham deeds recorded, but bank and trust transfers outnumber open-market sales

Hampshire County Registry of Deeds records show eight Pelham property transfers between Aug. 28 and Sept. 26. Four carry a recorded price, ranging from $25,000 to $200,000, with a median of $125,000; the other four show price not yet available. The top transaction was 60 Harkness Rd at $200,000, sold by a trust to Greenfield Cooperative Bank. Four of the eight deeds named a bank or mortgage-servicing entity as buyer or seller, and two others transferred property from an owner to that same owner or a trust, meaning open-market sales made up a smaller share of the period's activity than the total count suggests.
